What is the com.docker.docker folder on my Mac?

It belongs to Docker Desktop. Here’s what’s inside and the right way to deal with it.

Short answer

com.docker.docker holds Docker Desktop’s virtual disk (Docker.raw) with every container, image and volume. Deleting files here erases all of it. Shrink it from inside Docker with docker system prune, or reset the disk from Docker Desktop’s settings.

Location: ~/Library/Containers/com.docker.docker

What’s inside
