Privacy

Short version: TidyMac works offline. Nothing about your files leaves your Mac.

The app

• Scanning, explanations, history and AI features run on your Mac. TidyMac Assist uses Apple's on-device model.
• TidyMac measures folder sizes. It never reads the contents of your emails, messages or documents.
• The only network calls are licence activation and validation with Dodo Payments, and update checks.
• The MCP server runs locally over standard input and output. It shares metadata only (sizes, labels, folder names in your Library), never file contents.

This website

• We use privacy-friendly analytics without cookies (Cloudflare Web Analytics and, if enabled, Plausible) to count visits and button clicks.
• The System Data explainer runs in your browser. What you paste is never sent to us.

Purchases

Dodo Payments is the merchant of record and processes your payment and tax details under its own privacy policy. We receive your email and licence status.
